Expeditions
Norway - Iceland - Greenland
On this sailing adventure on board Alma Af Froya we will experience nature at its best with majestic fjords and mountains, whales and wildlife all the way From Lofoten in Norway, around Iceland and ending in Greenland.
Both the crew and the passengers will work together in shifts and the main priority is to get to the destination in the safest way possible. And of course have fun. On the way we will grow as both humans and sailors. One of the goals for this trip is that everyone feels some level of accomplishment by the end of the trip.
We will live, cook, sail and celebrate together and by the end of the trip we will all have made new friends for life.
The itinerary is a suggestion and the most likely route. Depending on the weather we may sail north or south of Iceland, either way there are many options to stop and soak up the Icelandic nature and culture such as Geothermal sea baths, local food, outstanding hikes, museums and whale watching++.
Places like: Seydisfjord, Grimsey, Husavik, Akureyri, Hrísey, Vestmannaeyjar, Isafjordur
Etc.
Anyway we are going to end up in Reykjavik on the 31.july but a good idea is to have 1 or 2 days of margin on the flight tickets which will give you some flexibility and more time to explore Reykjavik once we arrive.
Included: Food, hot drinks, snacks, bed sheets/linens
You will be able to board in Andoya or Reykjavik and stay for as many days you like, or all the way to Kulusuk.
Practical information:
For the flight you can land in Evenes Airport near Harstad and take a 2 hour bus ride to Sortland where we pick you up in a minibuss.
OR
Maybe the nicest option: Flight to Evenes, 45 min bus ride into Harstad and take the 2 hours long Hurtigruta(beautiful cruise line) to Risøyhamn in Andoya where we pick you up.
